Objectives

Misión de SEGQuim

Promover la participación activa de estudiantes graduados de química en actividades sociales, culturales y académicas en diferentes comunidades dentro y fuera de la Universidad.
Desarrollar en los estudiantes una noción del rol del químico dentro de la sociedad.

Objetivos

Enriquecer la experiencia curricular mediante actividades que provean:

Interacción con otras organizaciones estudiantiles y con organizaciones sin fines de lucro externas.
Estímulo a los estudiantes para hacerse partícipes de los procesos políticos dentro de la Universidad.
Sentido de unión entre los estudiantes del Departamento de Química.
Experiencias de socialización con otros estudiantes.
Participación solidaria en actividades públicas que sean para beneficio de nuestra sociedad.
La oportunidad de educar al público acerca de la aportación del químico a la sociedad, y así contribuir a forjar una imagen positiva del químico.
Oportunidad para desarrollar destrezas en los estudiantes tales como trabajo en equipo, liderazgo, comunicación oral, manejo de tiempo y planificación, entre otras.

Mission of SEGQuim

To promote the active participation of chemistry graduate students in academic, social and cultural activities in and out of the University.
To develop in the students a notion of the role of the chemist in society.

Objectives

To enrich the academic experience through activities that provide:

An interaction with other student organizations and with external non-profit organizations.
Stimulus to the students to become involved in the political processes within the University.
A sense of unity among the students of the Chemistry Department.
Opportunities to socialize with other students.
Solidary participation in public activities that are beneficial to our society.
The opportunity to educate the public about the contribution of the chemists to society, thus contributing to forge a positive image of the chemist.
An opportunity to develop skills in students such as teamwork, leadership, oral communication, time management and organization, among others.
